Assos Tech Ltd is a UK oil and gas engineering consultancy founded in 2014. We work for operators, developers, investors and lenders on onshore and offshore fields in the Middle East, the North Sea and West Africa.

IThe firm
The firm
Assos Tech is built around senior production and facilities engineering. The engineer who scopes a job leads it and signs it. Specialist partners are brought in where a job needs disciplines we do not carry in house, and their responsibilities are written into the scope.
Our recent work has been for the operator of an onshore field in the Middle East, on forecasting, commissioning, produced water, flowline integrity, design review and operations data; for a gas developer in Nigeria, on pipelines and small-scale LNG; and for investors, on technical and economic review.
Before Assos Tech, our senior people worked in operating roles on mature offshore assets in the North Sea and in production and intervention engineering across the North Sea and the Middle East. That experience is labelled on this site as practitioner experience in previous employment and is kept separate from Assos Tech work.
We publish no client logos, no testimonials and no portfolio totals. Each case says what it is. If we cannot show the basis for a claim, we do not make it.

Producing assets
Production surveillance, integrated asset modelling, limit mapping, deferral management, facility capacity and routing, forecasts and scenarios on fields producing more than a million barrels a day.
Facilities and water
Design basis and P&ID review, brownfield stage gates, commissioning and restart plans, overpressure and relief, produced water systems, scale and flowline integrity programmes.
Wells and campaigns
Intervention diagnosis and programmes, water shut-off, scale treatment, stimulation, artificial lift workovers, well delivery scheduling and post-job review.
Gas, economics and data
Gas pipeline hydraulics, small-scale LNG and gas-to-power screening, project economics, technical due diligence, and operations data systems with source precedence.
IIIThe name
The name
Assos is a town on the Aegean coast of Turkey. Aristotle set up his first school there in 347 BC and began working from what he could observe and measure. In modern Greek the word also means the ace, the card that decides the hand. The mark is a surveyor's datum, the reference point from which everything else is measured.
- Observe. Start from the measured data, with its dates and its gaps.
- Endure. Build registers, models and procedures that still work after the engineer who built them has moved on.
- Vantage. Stand where the whole chain is visible, from reservoir to export to cash.
IVStandards
Standards we hold ourselves to
Plain engineering English. The number comes first. The mechanism is named. The check is done in the text. Measurement, inference and judgement read differently. Uncertainty is given as a range. Every section ends on what it means for the decision.
One numbering scheme for documents, one live file per document, the revision inside the file, and a classification on every page. Safety-critical decisions and field work need approved site procedures, permits, risk assessments and the responsible technical authority. Our documents support that process and never replace it.
