Services/Wells and interventions

Wells and interventions

We support the full intervention cycle: the problem statement, the barrier and completion basis, the programme and its contingencies, campaign sequencing, and a post-job review that compares what the well did with what the programme promised.

IThe question

What is wrong with the well, and what is the safest economic way back to production?

Well work competes for rigs, crews and capital. A treatment can be technically sound and still a poor investment if the impairment mechanism is uncertain, the barriers are not understood, or the flowline cannot take the fluids. We connect production engineering with integrity, completion condition, intervention access and the surface system the well flows into.

We hold to one chain: reservoir potential, well potential, operating envelope, actual rate, deferment, root cause, action, recovered production. If a plan quotes a plateau, we divide it by the number of producers and ask whether any well on test has delivered that rate.

Scope ranges from a review of one well to programme development, contractor evaluation, rig and workover scheduling, and a campaign register of planned against actual dates and rates.

IIWhat we do
  • i

    Diagnosis and screening

Surveillance and well history, barriers and completion, the impairment mechanism, the restart options and the evidence each needs.

  • ii

    Programme development

Objectives, contingencies, success criteria, resources and the technical basis for the chosen job: water shut-off, scale treatment, stimulation, lift change-out or workover.

  • iii

    Well delivery and scheduling

Rig and workover dates, planned against actual, each with its target rate and the basis for that number.

  • iv

    Campaign and execution assurance

Sequencing, review of contractor proposals, readiness reviews, and a record of each post-job result against the forecast.

IIIWhat you receive

Deliverables

  • Well diagnostic and option review
  • Intervention programme with contingencies and success criteria
  • Well delivery schedule with planned and actual dates
  • Readiness and assurance plan
  • Post-job technical and economic review

Field services come through your own contracts or an agreed partner. Our part is the engineering judgement, the programme and the check afterwards.

Start with the question

A technical question, a train that will not stabilise, a water balance that will not close, a data room that will not reconcile. Describe it in a paragraph and we will propose the scope.
